Avalon University School of Medicine (AUSOM) Achieves Concept Accreditation from AAC
The Accreditation Agency Curacao (AAC) is pleased to announce that Avalon University School of Medicine has successfully completed the accreditation process for its Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BS) program! This accomplishment is a testament to Avalon’s commitment to quality education and adherence to international academic standards.
The path to accreditation is thorough and detailed. Avalon University submitted a comprehensive self-study report, followed by a rigorous site visit from AAC’s Panel of Experts, held from September 17-19, 2024. AAC’s standards are aligned with the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and American Standards and Guidelines, ensuring that Avalon meets the highest benchmarks of academic excellence. The accreditation is valid until November 2027.
