A Look Back: The AAC's Journey and Partnerships

Since its establishment in 2017, the AAC has proudly operated as an independent and professional accreditation agency for higher education institutions in Curacao and worldwide. Here is a look at our impressive journey and valued partnerships:

  • FOUNDED TO MEET A GROWING NEED: The AAC was established to address the increasing demand for a national accreditation body to ensure the quality of education on the island and beyond.

  • OFFICIAL RECOGNITION BY THE MINISTRY: Curacao's Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport officially recognized the AAC as a National Accreditation Agency. This acknowledgment empowers the AAC to safeguard the academic quality of higher education. Any higher education institution, whether local or transnational, can approach the AAC for accreditation.

  • EXPANDING OUR REACH: The AAC has been recognized as an authorized quality assurance body by the Ministry of Social Development and Education in Anguilla. This recognition enables AAC-accredited institutions to request licensing from the Anguillan Ministry of Education, ensuring that students receive education of the highest standards.

  • STRENGTHENING GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS:
    • ACBSP COLLABORATION: The AAC has officially entered into a partnership with the  Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), located in the USA. This partnership will enhance educational standards globally, with AAC conducting institutional accreditations and ACBSP focusing on programmatic accreditation.
    • AQAS COLLABORATION: The AAC also entered into a collaboration with the highly reputable Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs (AQAS) from Germany. This partnership allows for a double accreditation option, providing institutions the opportunity to acquire both programmatic and institutional accreditations through a single procedure.

We are incredibly proud of our growth and commitment to fostering academic excellence.
