Extension of our Basic Membership offer

The AAC – the Accreditation Agency of Curacao – is proud to announce that due to a mounting interest in our activities we will extend our basic membership offer for another month, until April 30, 2018.

A higher education institution can obtain a basic AAC membership at any time. The university and/or institution of higher education that is granted basic membership status will receive the corresponding AAC logo and will be authorized to display this logo on its website.

This basic AAC logo for higher education institutions does not specify or reveal any accreditation. After obtaining basic membership, it is possible for a university or institution to apply for an official and certified program and/or institutional accreditation by the AAC.

To obtain basic membership, the AAC needs to gather more information on your institution, which has to be submitted to the AAC Office:

• A statement of why the university wishes to establish a formal relationship with the AAC.
• Contact details and the website URL.
• A brief introduction from the university or institution applying for basic membership.
• Constitution and legal status;
• Mission statement;
• Summary of basic quality assurance activities of your university

 

Basic membership offers the following advantages:

• Your university may place the AAC basic membership logo as a quality mark on its website.
• Potential students interested in your institution and its study programs will recognize through this basic membership logo that your institution is registered and highly qualified.
• Students prefer universities whose quality or status have been officially recognized.
• If you are interested in a full membership, as a basic member you will receive preferential treatment when you apply for a program accreditation or an institutional accreditation. For more information on the accreditation procedures please visit our website.
• With a basic membership you will receive a discount of USD 600, – when you apply for a program or institutional accreditation.
• Your university and/or institution of higher education will also be listed on our official website.
